Geomechanics for energy and the environment: Current developments

چکیده
Geomechanics is advancing our understanding of the multi-physical processes encountered in engineering practices involving energy storage and production environmental protection for which characterization behavior relevant materials essential. Trends based on publications Energy Environment Journal over past seven years have revealed that four areas research are currently utmost importance: (1) geostructures, (2) geological CO2 storage, (3) nuclear waste disposal, (4) hydrocarbon geothermal reservoirs. This article aims to emphasize contributions journal these by providing insights into their relevance current trends developments design analytical approaches whilst identifying presenting knowledge gaps new horizons young researchers.
